Why wait for New Year's Day to start fresh? Say YES to 2017 now! YaleWomen are kicking off the New Year reading television writer and producer Shonda Rhimes' Year of Yes, her poignant, intimate, and hilarious memoir.

Rhimes' story starts with life before her Year of Yes, beginning with her nerdy, book-loving childhood creating imaginary friends, through to her domination of Thursday night television, including Grey's Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder. But despite her wild success and general badassery, something was holding her back. She chronicles her Year of Yes challenge: when the introverted Rhimes says "yes" to giving the Dartmouth Commencement speech, "yes" to her health, "yes" to play, and "yes" to exploring, applauding, and loving her true self. We have two confirmed gathering locations in San Francisco and Los Gatos.
